Visit to Longford Castle
Tuesday 23rd June 2026

Longford Castle, the home of the Earls of Radnor, is one of Wiltshire’s most intriguing historic houses.

Rarely open to the public, this striking triangular castle rises from its parkland setting, offering a sense of discovery from the moment you arrive. The interiors are striking with their historic associations and fabulous collections of art and furniture.

A guided tour will take you through elegant rooms rich in history, stories and superb craftsmanship, brought to life by knowledgeable guides who know the house intimately. They will show you all the fine paintings, beautiful furniture and architectural details inspired by the great houses of Europe, all within a peaceful and unhurried atmosphere.

The art collection is particularly fascinating – Longford has a long association with the National Gallery which organises guided tours of the collection and supports its preservation. Some works are on loan to the National Gallery, but the collection remains in private hands.
